Our story
It all began with a dream.
Adam and Jenny always wanted to move back home to the family farm. Adam grew up in this valley, known as Everett Springs, on the Williams Angus Farm. He knew one day they would return and raise their family here. Jenny didn’t grow up in agriculture, but comes from a long line of deep farming roots, and her ancestors date back to the 1800s in Everett Springs.
Through our years of living in Metro Atlanta, we would spend at least one weekend a month at home on the farm with Adam’s parents. For several years we prayed, dreamed, and made plans that just never worked out. But in 2013, Adam “retired” from his corporate construction career and we immediately got to work. Our goal has always been to build a life we didn’t need a vacation from. Farming definitely allows for that! All joking aside, we still feel as if we’re “playing hookie”. Although, farming is for sure hard work, some days we have to pinch ourselves because we feel like we are living “Six Saturdays and a Sunday”. We are blessed knowing our children have the opportunity to grow up and work alongside their grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and even community members that have been family friends for generations.
Work hard, don’t quit.
We believe in working hard and working together. “Many hands make light work”. When our children were younger, we began to train them on the importance of being a team. Now they are all a very integral part of what makes Five Arrows Farm possible. They are, after all, our inspiration behind our name but also the motivation to keep going. We want to carry on the great legacy that has been passed to us and see them carry that same light to the world.
